BAKU -- The Republic of Azerbaijan's deputy defense minister and a group of the country's senior officers were dismissed after being charged with embezzlement and selling the soldiers' clothes, according to the Central News Agency of IRIB quoting Azeri sources.

Accordingly, the Defense Ministry dismissed the deputy minister for logistics and provisions, Qurmaz Farayev, and a group of army officers in charge of selling the clothes.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Defense and the Customs Office are two main centers of embezzlement in Azerbaijan.
